Water Horse: Legend of the Deep (2007)

A Christmas movie for the long gone 2007 but here I am watching it now.

A mystical tale of the Celtic folklore about a mystical creature that is neither male nor female known as the water horse that will live till its old ages and just before it’s death, it will lay an egg that will give life to the new baby water horse that will keep the legacy running.

The story was played out well, the animations was well done and the scenery was absolutely stunning.

Here’s my short preview for your reading:

Angus, a boy who longs for his dad’s return from the war, finds the enchanted egg which gave life to a newly born water horse into the world. Keeping it a secret from everyone, he created a wonderful bond with his water horse named Crusoe but Crusoe’s growth was amazingly rapid and soon, he cannot even be hidden in the toilet bathtub. So, Angus released him into the lake but people started noticing the presence of the ‘monster’ in the lake and Angus needs to keep his friend safe and let the story of the water horse live on as people starts endangering his best friend.

A fun story to watch with your family and I will give it a rating of 7.3/10.

Here are some of the production shots for this Water Horse movie:

I wonder what is my next movie gonna be.

Cheers,

Lions For Lambs (Nov 2007)

Another movie for my weekend. Casting includes Robert Redford, Tom Cruise, Meryl Streep to name a few.

From the war trailer, it looks like an exciting all-action show with but again, I soon found out that this movie was not what it seemed to be.

Unlike the other show i watched before this (The Deaths of Ian Stone), this show was pretty much unexpectedly nice. Slow moving story but the plot was really well played.

A very motivating and inspirational story in my opinion. If you think deeply, they are portraying the behaviour of the current society now. A generation of people who don’t bother about anything else but themselves. Faced with a problem, they will move away to evade the problem and not trying to solve it.

After watching this movie, it really opened my mind to new things, new ideas and new concepts towards life.

Here’s my short summary on it:

This movie is played simultaneously at three different scenes, an army base, an on-going interview in the senator’s office and a one-on-one discussion between a lecturer and his student. The issues from the three different scenes played a major role in bringing the whole story together.

It basically was the senator trying to enlighten the media journalist to write a real story to the world about a war strategy that would bring an end to the war in Iraq, Iran and Afghanistan and during that interview period, this strategy was implemented at the army base camp. Back at the room with the lecturer, his promising student was raising issues about the political news that has confounded the minds of people.

Arrrgghhh.. I don’t know how to explain it to you. Just know that it is a beautiful story that should not be missed.

A war that would end the ‘war’~

Seriously, I’ll rate this movie 8.5/10 for the ‘inspiring’ plot!

Cheers,
